Placerville KOA Campground has many fun activities for children and families to enjoy daily! We host a giant tree-house styled playground. There are 3 seperate slides, rock climbing wall, climbing obstacles, high viewing platforms, tic tack toe, underground communication pipe, and airplane steering wheels! We have also added a brand new swing set!
For our babies we have a toddler playground that we have just added and features 2 slides, climbing obstacle, viewing platform, mini picnic table, & sandbox.
Nested in the beautiful foothill oak trees we have our 18 hole miniature golf course. We charge only $3 per person, per game for this fantastic course!
Every year around mid-April we stock our fishing pond with around a thousand pounds of Trout! It's a small pond so your almost guaranteed to catch your limit and it's the perfect place for your child to catch their 1st! There are also very large catfish. Watchout, as they might pull YOU in! We charge a fee for a license per pole in the water to help pay for the stocking of our fishing pond. There is no need for a state fishing license. Fishing is usually good until around mid-July.
In the summer most families enjoy an ice cold snowcone while lounging at our large lap styled swimming pool! On most summer weekends we open up our hot tub after 4pm for strictly 18 yrs or older.
Other activities to enjoy at our park include a pool table, arcade, very large vhs/dvd rental library, 3 wheeled fun cycle rentals, horse shoes, volleyball, & basketball. Families also enjoy playing card games in our kitchen pavillion, our goat petting zoo, or gathering around one of our group campfires.
If that's not enough entertainment for your family then at any time you can get picked up the Red Hawk Casino shuttle and enjoy their large Cyber Quest Arcade or leave your children at the Kids Quest hourly child care entertainment center while adults enjoy the Casino's offerings!
